During its 17th meeting held on 13th February 2010, the tzNIC Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) approved four (4) applications from local companies to be .tz domain name Registrars. These companies become the first accredited Registrars since tzNIC adopted a shared registry - registrar - registrant operational model. The tzNIC accredited registrars will be serving the Internet community with .tz registry services alongside tzNIC.

1. The University Computing Centre (UCC) Limited;

2. Arusha Node Marie (Habari);

3. SimbaNet (T) Limited and

4. IT Farm Limited.

The above companies are currently finalizing the accreditation process for them to be able to provide the .tz registry services.
