On 27th October 2009 Tanzania Network Information Centre (tzNIC) met with the Media for a breakfast meeting that was followed with a Press conference. During the meeting and the press conference tzNIC informed the public through the media that it has taken over the .tz domain name registration responsibilities from the past Registrars.
