tzNIC adopts the new domain registration refund policy |
For the past 3 years of operations, tzNIC has encountered a number of domain registration challenges such as registrants requesting for domain name renaming, say “bxbybz.co.tz” to “bxbz.co.tz”, etc. “bx”,” by”, “bz” could be the letters representing names of three business partners. In case partner “by” decides otherwise then a need may arise for domain renaming to “bxby.co.tz”. Under the current domain registration rules, domain name modification does not include renaming the domain. With the new policy there is an opportunity to rename a domain that is registered within a period of 7 days. |
